Battered Bacon Strips, Chocolate Covered, Peppered and Bacon Poppers

Here are ten different styles and flavors of bacon recipes to serve to guests as entrees or appetizers.

Battered, breaded bacon strips

These are wonderful appetizers, and can be served with dipping sauces like remoulade, catsup, ranch, blue cheese, cheddar dip or whatever you like.

Directions

  1. Lather cold bacon strips in buttermilk or whipping cream
  2. Cover the strips with cornmeal flour
  3. Drop into hot oil in a pan or deep fryer
  4. Enjoy

Pineapple Bacon

This one is easy. If you like pineapple with your pork, this shall satisfy your cravings

Directions

  1. Mix pineapple, honey, sugar, salt with blender or robocoupe
  2. Glaze bacon and bake in oven
  3. Add pineapple chunks to finished product

Garlic Bacon

Garlic bacon is a great gormet style bacon entree

Directions

  1. Sprinkle bacon strips with garlic powder or garlic salt and cool for a couple hours or so
  2. Add minced garlic cloves to bacon while frying or baking
  3. When finished, lightly glaze with butter

Chocolate-covered bacon

Chocolate-covered bacon is a delicious snack and desert

Directions

  1. Combine chocolate chip morsels, tsp or so of vanilla extract, dark corn syrup in double boiler
  2. Bring to boil, stirring constantly until contents melt
  3. Add cooked bacon strips or chopped bacon
  4. remove with tongs (strips) or spoon (chopped chunks), place onto wax paper
  5. Chill in fridge (optional)

Peppered bacon

This is the simplest bacon concoction out there.

Directions

  1. Halfway through cooking, sprinkle pepper and peppercorns onto bacon

Flamin' Hot Bacon

Flamin' hot bacon is a spicy bacon that would attract spicy food lovers

Directions

  1. Mix chopped jalapeno peppers, black pepper, red pepper flakes, honey and hot sauce or tobasco in blender or robcoupe
  2. Glaze bacon with mixture
  3. Fry or bake (preferably bake to avoid pan mess)

Nacho Cheese Bacon

Nacho cheese bacon is the perfect snack for someone with the "munchies".

Directions

  1. After cooking bacon, pour hot nacho cheese sauce atop strips
  2. (Optional) Add lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream and salsa
  3. (Optional) Add nacho chips, or tortilla/pita

Pizza Bacon Pita

This is a very unique style of food that will impress any bacon lover

Directions

  1. Smear round pita bread with marinara sauce
  2. Add cooked bacon to pita and sauce
  3. Add any desired additional toppings
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top
  5. Bake in oven for 5 to 10 minutes

Bacon Mac

Bacon with macaroni and cheese is another excellent entree that children and adults will savor and come back asking for more

Directions

  1. Chop cooked bacon
  2. Add to macaroni and cheese and mix together

Bacon poppers

Bacon poppers are a delicious and unique appetizer to add to any palette.

Directions

  1. Wrap single strips of bacon around scoops of sour cream or cream cheese with (optional) jalapeno buried within
  2. You can also cover the scoop of sour cream or cream cheese with chopped bacon
  3. place the scoops on wax paper, or put in muffin tray
  4. Cover balls with cornmeal flour
  5. freeze
  6. deep fry, or pan fry with hot oil
